Vandana Viswanathan, Partner
Vandana is co-founder and Partner at CoCoon. Her work over the last 15 years in CoCoon has been to enable businesses and leaders explore possibilities and find solutions in HR to scale, transition and grow. She has led transformations across organizations in different industries and growth stages – setting up new businesses, M&A scenarios, slow or accelerated growth, and challenges in the business ecosystem or in the internal ecosystem.

Her strengths lie in partnering with business leaders, to delve into business priorities and facilitating shifts to find enduring solutions to performance and growth, as well as capability building. Over the last few years much of her work has been with businesses in India and in Asia to create and implement leadership and talent development solutions that become levers for business priorities and strategy. Vandana shares the passion and commitment with others at CoCoon that our work must deliver sustainable impact for our clients, and must contribute to the greater good of the individuals, customers and the communities that the businesses work with.

Vandana is an expert in building leadership capability. She has worked extensively to develop success profiles for future leaders in critical roles, and tools and methods to assess and develop individuals for the same. She enjoys working on creating new ways for organizations to manage and develop talent. She has helped our clients to create leadership development roadmaps that build capabilities for businesses and rely heavily on design thinking. She has a systems approach to this that spans culture, processes and leader capability and commitment.

Vandana worked in Hindustan Lever for the first 6 years of her career, as an HR manager supporting manufacturing sites and the R&D Centre. She has a Master’s in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

Vandana serves on the Boards of Ujjivan (an NBFC-MFI; and ARZ ( an NGO that works to combat trafficking of women and children for sexual exploitation.
